Will the deluxe components be Kickstarter exclusive?

While the deluxe components (upgraded markers, tokens) will be available in a limited capacity in the future (e.g. at conventions), they will not be available at retail. Of course, retailers who back at the retailer level for this campaign will get the upgraded markers.

[Shipping] Will Retailer Pledges ship outside of the US?

The Retailer Rledge is available to all retailers with a physical store in the US, UK/EU, Canada, Australia, or a freight forwarder in the US. Shipping will vary by region, but will be subsidized by Brotherwise.

Despite the pledge tier saying it will only ship to the US, the Retailer pledge is available to all retailers with a physical store in the US, UK/EU, Canada, Australia, or a freight forwarder in the US. Shipping is free.

[Exclusives] How will this campaign handle the "Kickstarter Pack" of promo cards?

Based on our experiences with past campaigns, we want to reward backers with special content, but we also want to avoid creating gameplay exclusives that are never available outside of Kickstarter. We want people to enjoy Boss Monster for years to come, even if they missed this campaign.

Every pledge level includes a special “Kickstarter Pack” of promo cards. They’ll be sporadically available in the future (at conventions, on BrotherwiseGames.com, and as part of retailer incentive kits) but will not be included in our general retail release. This campaign is the most reliable way to get those cards, especially outside of the US. And of course, we’ll ship pledge rewards to backers before we ship to any retailers in your part of the world!

So back this campaign if you want to support making this game the best it can be, get hard-to-find content, and get it before anyone else!

[Add-Ons] Will Boss Monster and Overboss be available for purchase?

Yes! We will be adding Overboss and Boss Monster titles as an additional purchase once our pledge manager opens after the campaign ends.

[BackerKit] Will $1 pledges have access to the Pledge Manager?

Yes, $1 pledges will have access to the BackerKit pledge manager and will be able to change their pledge to a higher tier if they wish.

[Add-Ons] How will Add-Ons work for this campaign?

At the end of this campaign, you’ll be charged for the amount of your Kickstarter pledge. You don’t need to pay for shipping or Add-Ons until you get to the BackerKit pledge manager! There you’ll be able to choose from an array of additional items, including every past Boss Monster expansion.

[Add-Ons] What if I want a playmat or wooden heart tokens, but not both?

There’s an add-on for that! To keep fulfillment manageable and avoid delays, we bundle some items and don’t split every single component into a separate Add-On. But some items, such as the “Town” playmat and the wooden heart tokens, can be purchased separately. We’ll share these details in an update before the end of the campaign.

[Exclusives] What's included in the "Kickstarter Pack"?

The “Kickstarter Pack” includes promo cards that are too hot for the retail edition of Super Boss Monster! Or at least too silly. You can expect to see pop culture parodies (Terry Tunacat), obscure references (The Narrator), shameless self-inserts (Owl Brothers), and homages to other Brotherwise Games (Mirror Monk). At launch, there are 4 cards in the pack, but we can expand that during the campaign by unlocking social stretch goals!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
